Character creation walk-through

The character manager (CM) is being redone in the near future, I will finish this part of the site after the new CM is done.

Creating a character:

Well, the mechanics anyway, not the background RP stuff.

When you log into the game for the first time you will be at a screen that asks If your character is male or female....just type an M or F, that bit is pretty much a no brainer.

Then you are asked to create a name.  There are some rules for names:  no swear words or inappropriate words (not giving an example here),  no titles (QueenLucy), no famous people (Ceasar), no fictional characters (HarryPotter), nothing Unprounancable (Skkkkkkrr) and no phrases (Thebestoneever).  The name can be up to 15 characters long.

Once you've typed in a name you will either be told that the name is not available and suggestions will be given to you.  Or you will be asked to verify the name by typing Y (yes) or N (no).

Next you will be asked if you want to be a human, centaur or giant.  Your beginning stats will be set depending on which of these you pick.  The table below lists the beginning stats for each of the races.

For information on what each stat does, see my section labeled Skills and Stats.

Type a 1 to be a human, 2 for a centaur or 3 for a giant.

Now you're ready to pick a template or choose your own skills.

The first 5 templates are easier to play, the last ones are more examples of how you can mix skills to get a character the way you want.
